National media outlet claim Tottenham star looks a lot fitter than he did previously

It has been suggested by the press back in Sweden that Tottenham Hotspur’s Dejan Kulusevski looks a lot fitter than he did previously.

Kulusevski has always been a player who has possessed an immense engine. While the Swede gets a lot of plaudits for his flair on the ball, perhaps an underappreciated part of his game is the work-rate he consistently delivers out of possession.

That is perhaps one of the reasons why Ange Posetecoglou has taken to the winger, with the Australian demanding that his players press incessantly and not allow their opponents much time to breathe in possession.

Dejan Kulusevski looks fitter this week

Kulusevski started in his usual right-wing role for Sweden against Albania on Monday and made a decisive contribution, producing a fine cross on 62 minutes that was headed home at the far post by Gustaf Nilsson, with the Scandinavian side emerging 1-0 winners.

Svenskafans praised the 23-year-old for his performance and they also suggested that the former Juventus man is now much fitter than he was previously.

The outlet wrote: “Much fitter today compared to last time. Works hard and has several interesting passes into the penalty area – one who fixed the victory.”

Spurs Web Opinion

I am not sure I would put Kulusevski’s perceived improvements in fitness down to Postecoglou, with Conte also very much demanding that his players remain in prime condition.

It might have more to do with the fact that the winger has now put his minor niggles behind him and is now 100 per cent fit.
