Some Tottenham fans believe it will be a big mistake if the club allow Juan Foyth to leave this summer.
Foyth has hardly got any game time since Jose Mourinho arrived at Tottenham and reports indicate that the defender has already played his last game for Spurs (Football Insider).
The 22-year-old has already admitted that he would prefer to move elsewhere and play regularly rather than sitting on the bench at Spurs (TNT) while his agent has also confirmed that he is set for crunch talks with the club over the Argentine’s future (talkSPORT).
Rumours of a move to Leeds United have picked up pace over the last few weeks with reports suggesting that Marcelo Bielsa wants to sign the Spurs defender to bolster his backline ahead of their first Premier League season in almost two decades (TYC Sports).
However, some Spurs fans are convinced that the club would be making a mistake letting a defender of Foyth’s ability leave the club.
They insisted that loaning out the former Estudiantes man next season would be preferable allowing him to leave on a permanent basis.
What a wonderful player Foyth is https://t.co/Psn8iER3ld

Wonder if Leeds can hold onto their stars in spite of being promoted. Ben White (on loan from Brighton) and Kalvin Philipps in particular. My guess is yes, but if not, we should be looking to loan Foyth and Skipp to them

Yeah I mean, I'd keep and play Foyth for sure but…

Aurier hasnt been terrible i would keep as any replacement likely to cost a lot. Foyth unproven needs a loan IMO. The rest can do one lol

I’m gonna be controversial and say
I would keep:
Aurier
Foyth
SissokoReason why I say that, I see Aurier has a future in the Jose setup. We defiantly need another RB
Foyth will stay but needs a ful season on loan before we fully judge his ability
Sissoko to stay short term

I have a feeling Foyth will come good after a loan

The only player I think we need to see more of is Foyth

Foyth deserves a loan deal before a decision is made on his future

Spurs Web Opinion
Foyth certainly seems to have the technical attributes as well as the composure to evolve into a top defender but one gets the feeling that Jose has already made up his mind on him. Since we are seemingly short of transfer funds this summer, we will likely cash in on the 22-year-old. If we do sell him permanently to a Premier League side like Leeds, we might come to regret the decision in a few years.
