Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have called for Matt Doherty to be recalled to the starting eleven.
Doherty has found himself playing second fiddle to Serge Aurier in recent weeks with the Ivorian having been in impressive form.
Aurier, who has previously had a reputation for his defending with Gary Neville describing it to Sky Sports as a ‘mess’ in October of last year after he conceded a penalty against Liverpool.
The 27-year-old was once again guilty of a defensive lapse of concentration yesterday when he was at fault for gifting Leicester City the lead in the Premier League clash in North London.
Aurier crashed into the back of Wesley Fofana just before the half time break which left referee Craig Pawson no option but to award a penalty which Jamie Vardy converted.
His performance after the break was also below standard with more than one cross failing to reach a Spurs team-mate with manager Jose Mourinho hauling him off after 64 minutes.
Good. Now Doherty should be in the XI

Aurier should be dropped for Doherty in the next matches

Doherty is far more reliable than that clown aurier, they need swapping around, Doherty should start in the premiership and stick Aurier in uefa

Start by picking Doherty ahead of Aurier

Can't just play aurier every match, that's why we have a squad. Jose has ditched half the squad. Only way Doherty can gain an understanding and get into form is by playing.

Matt doherty is more tactical and skillful than aurier the hot tempered bully

I'm saying he shouldn't have started Aurier, he only trusts a few players in the squad that's why every league game it's pretty much the same side. Doherty needs chances to perform and aurier played 3 matches in a week
