Some Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news that Tottenham defender Cristian Romero suffered a suspected hamstring injury during Argentina’s 0-0 draw with Brazil on Tuesday evening.
The 23-year-old was given the nod again to start for his country in the World Cup qualifier in San Juan, but saw his game cut short on 53 minutes after sustaining what appeared to be a muscle injury.
He initially went into a robust challenge with Brazil’s Matheus Cunha, but came out of the duel clutching his left hamstring.
Despite quickly signalling to the bench that he would be okay to continue, Romero shortly sat down on the pitch waiting for treatment before eventually being replaced by German Pezzella.
Reports now claim the defender will be assessed by the Tottenham medical team when he returns to North London on Thursday, which will leave Antonio Conte sweating over his availability for the visit of Leeds United on Sunday.
Let’s take a look at how some Spurs fans reacted:

Spurs Web Opinion
It is typical that one of the last games of the international break for Spurs players saw one of them come away with an injury worry.
It wouldn’t be too surprising if he indeed missed the Leeds encounter this weekend, with the fixture turnaround being so soon after the issue.
