“Never seen anything like it” – Spurs players take to twitter after historic win

After a long wait, Tottenham’s new stadium finally hosted its first Premier League match last evening.

Crystal Palace were the first visitors to the 62,062 capacity venue and were beaten comfortably by the home side courtesy of second-half strikes from Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen.

The visitors were set up to defend deep and frustrate Spurs, which they did successfully in the first half. However, Spurs rallied after the interval to get the goals they needed, to register what was their first Premier League win in six matches.

It was a great day for the club as fans and players both got their first glimpse of the stadium packed with 62,000 Spurs fans.

The atmosphere at the stadium was quite special all throughout the game, and the Tottenham players couldn’t stop raving about the venue after the match.
