According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur are ‘pushing’ to secure a deal for Antonio Nusa, and it is thought the player has become the club’s ‘big focus’ this month.
What appeared to be a fairly straightforward race for Antonio Nusa‘s signature a week ago, has now become something of a frantic race for Spurs to get the deal over the line before one of their rivals steals him away.
It has been claimed by The Athletic that Spurs are looking to arrange a deal worth around €30m (£25.7m) for Nusa, with the youngster remaining on loan with Club Brugge until the end of the season.
However, fellow Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool (Football.London) are also in the hunt, as are Newcastle United (Football Insider). Meanwhile, West Ham are also interested (Sport Lens) and Chelsea are thought to be monitoring the situation, too (The Guardian).

Spurs want Antonio Nusa deal done quickly
It figures then, that Spurs are keen to get the transfer wrapped up quickly. That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who has shared an update on the situation with GiveMeSport.
He said: “They really want him because they believe Antonio Nusa is going to be a special player. He is a special talent in a position where Tottenham need someone for the present and future, so that is why they are pushing.
“They also know that there are other clubs interested in Antonio Nusa, especially in England, so they want to be fast and close the deal as soon as possible. Tottenham are going to have new contacts with Club Brugge in the next days again for Nusa. I think this is going to be their big focus in the next days.”
Spurs Web Opinion
I remain confident that we can get this deal across the line, and that no other clubs will be able to overtake us in the race now. We seem to want it more than the other sides, and we have been really strong in the negotiation process lately.
