New giant cockerel photographed inside new Spurs stadium

Tottenham Hotspur have recently been revealing some of the finishing touches they will be adding to the new stadium, one of which is a new version of the golden cockerel which famously sat above the west stand of White Hart Lane.

The club confirmed that a replica of the cockerel will sit above the new single-tier south stand and is a larger version of the original cockerel, which will stand four-and-a-half metres tall.

It will replicate the original, which is currently sitting in the club’s Lilywhite House offices opposite the new stadium, down to every scratch and bump – one of which, legend has it, was caused by Paul Gascoigne.

A photo has appeared online of our famous cockerel, with some suggesting that this is the version which will adorn our south stand, however, some believe that this version could be of one which was used at Wembley.
