Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a late move for Celta Vigo’s Stanislav Lobotka, according to reports.
It is believed Mauricio Pochettino has spoken to Celta Vigo Sporting Director Felipe Miñambre regarding a possible move for the Slovak.
The 23-year-old midfielder joined the Spanish side from FC Nordsjaelland last summer for a fee of £900k.
Despite appearing in 38 La Liga games in his only season at Celta, Lobotka did not record a single goal or assist.
Only four days remain until this summer’s transfer window slams shut and Spurs now remain the only Premier League side not to have made a single signing.
A new central midfielder was on the wish-list of many Tottenham fans going into the transfer window.
However, with a matter of days left many will be happy to see just about anyone brought in.
Afterall it would be nigh on impossible for Daniel Levy to top panic buying Moussa Sissoko for £30m, right?
