Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has been speaking to the Premier League’s YouTube Channel about his FIFA stats and compared his shooting abilities to that of his Sweden teammate Dejan Kulusevski.
Isak signed for Newcastle United from Real Sociedad in the summer, in a club-record deal worth a reported £63 million (Sky Sports).
The 23-year-old has seen his debut season interrupted by injury, but has four goals in 13 games for the Magpies (Transfermarkt).
It’s been a similar season for Kulusevski, who has had to battle injury setbacks throughout the campaign. The Spurs attacker has two goals and six assists in 20 games across all competitions this year (Transfermarkt).
The two players may be rivals in the Premier League, but they both wear the yellow of Sweden when it comes to international duty.
Isak has nine goals for his country in 37 caps (Transfermarkt), while Kulusevski has just two in 27 games (Transfermarkt).
Clearly, Isak has the advantage over Kulusevski when it comes to finding the back of the net. When discussing FIFA statistics, the former was asked “Shot power, would you say you or Dejan Kulusevski has a higher shot power?”

As you may have guessed, Isak backed himself in this situation. “I would say me. I would be sure, but you never know with FIFA, but that is what I think, I would say he is more of a precision finisher,” Isak replied.
Both players will be hoping they can find their shooting boots and fire their respective teams to a top-four finish this season, though it may be that only one of them will be successful in that mission come the end of the campaign.

I think Isak is totally right to back himself in this one. He is probably a more clinical and powerful finisher than Kulusevski, but in fairness, the Spurs star is more about creating chances for others than putting them away himself.
