Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola decided to remain coy over his side’s potential interest in Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.
Guardiola had watched his side suffer a 3-2 defeat at Brighton yesterday evening and was posed the question of whether he would look to make a move for the England captain with City set to bid farewell to Sergio Aguero at the end of the season.
The 50-year-old did not take the opportunity to distance himself from a potential approach for the Spurs marksman.
Sky Sports reported on Monday evening that City along with Manchester United and Chelsea have made contact with Kane’s representatives after the 27-year-old reiterated his desire to leave the North London club this summer.
The Mirror claimed that Kane has set his sights on a move to the Premier League champions and believes that they represent the best opportunity for him to finally win silverware whilst expecting Guardiola’s side to follow up their interest with a bid.
Guardiola told Eurosport when asked if he would be in the market for Kane this summer: “Next question. He’s a Tottenham player, please.”
