Brazilian superstar Neymar has now reacted to Richarlison’s tweet regarding his showboating against Nottingham Forest.
Richarlison replaced Son Heun-min in the 74th minute of the game and the Brazilian set up Harry Kane and Tottenham’s second goal with a sumptuous cross with the outside of his right foot.
However, it was what the forward did a few minutes later that grabbed the headlines, with the 25-year-old taunting the opposition by doing a couple of keepy-uppies before being clattered by a Forest player.
Steve Copper said after the game that Richarlison’s actions were disrespectful and that he would not accept it if a Forest player did the same (Guardian).
The Tottenham man has been widely criticised by pundits and experts for his antics (talkSPORT) but former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann went a step further and suggested that the forward should be booked for what he did.
Richarlison responded to the German’s tweet by writing: “Cry More”.
His Brazilian teammate Neymar, who himself is no stranger to showboating on the field, saw the funny side of the Spurs star’s response.

I am personally not a fan of showboating but to suggest that Richarlison should be booked is ridiculous. Where would you even draw a line between showboating and just embarrassing your opponent with a piece of skill? I am surprised by the amount of reaction and column inches that this incident has received.
