Could Niko Kranjcar be finally set to leave Spurs?

Niko Kranjcar - Tottenham Hotspur News

Niko Kranjcar is being linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur once again.

The latest speculation comes after Steve Bruce admitted on a local north east radio station that he would like to sign the Spurs midfielder, but would have to sell first.

Kranjcar could head for the exit at the Lane if Luka Modric does remain at the club.  Niko hardly featured last season due to the competition for midfield places and it looks as if he will have to leave to get regular first-team football.

Dynamo Kiev were priced out of a move for the Croatian earlier in the transfer window with Spurs rating the player at around £10million.

Have something to tell us about this article?

  1. A huge mistake if Spurs let him go. Why sign Pienar –a decent enough player but no real added value — then leet Nicko go? Then rumours btoday about Bnayoun coming to WHL–again a hard working player but to improvement on what we have. It is all beyond comprehension.

  2. There’s no way we should sell Kranjcar. Love that player. He could be for Spurs what Lampard has been for Chelsea. He runs from deep and scores. If we’d played him more last season, who knows… I was happy when I saw that Pienaar will be out for a couple of months. I’d rather play Kranjcar instead of him any day.

  3. I don't think we need to worry about this happening. I think the penny seems to have dropped with Harry of his value, particularly with the fitness issues VDV, Modric and Tom seem to be having. There is also all the cup games which Harry sounds like he'll use the squad for.

  4. He was one of few players that played 90mins againt Athletic Bilboa, but obviously VDV did not feature. I hpe he stays as he is one of our most technacally gifted footballers. Harry should rotate more & then Kranjcar gets a fair crack of the whip he warrants & deserves.
