Niko Kranjcar has called on Aaron Lennon and Peter Crouch to do him and Croatia a massive favour this weekend.
The duo have both been included in the England squad to face Ukraine on Saturday, with Croatia requiring Ukraine failing to win in order to grab the play-off spot behind England.
Croatia have a friendly against Qatar, knowing that if Ukraine win in Kiev, Croatia’s World Cup hopes are practically doomed.
A win for Ukraine would mean they would have to slip up against lowly Andorra in order for Croatia to steal the play-off spot, whilst anything else would leave Croatia only needing to defeat Kazakhstan in order to obtain it.
Kranjcar told the Spurs Official Website, “We are depending on England now and we are hoping they don’t lose in Ukraine.
“Hopefully we will reach the play-offs, get a good draw and reach the finals.
“But we are disappointed with our campaign, especially the home defeat to England and the two draws with Ukraine. They are the games we felt we should have got more from and that would have made a big difference.”
