The Daily Mail has claimed that Daniel Levy will present Tottenham’s next manager with an option to re-sign Gareth Bale for the 2020/21 season.
Bale came back into the starting line up against Sheffield United on Sunday and the Welshman produced a brilliant hat-trick to help Spurs to a comfortable 4-0 win.
The three goals took Bale’s tally for the season to 14 goals in all competitions, certainly not a bad record for someone who was written off as a flop a few months ago.
The Mail claims that Levy will re-sign the Welshman on loan next season if the club’s next manager wants him as part of his squad.
It is explained that Spurs have the option of extending the 31-year-old’s season-long loan spell by another year on the same terms of the current deal, should all parties agree.
There is said to be a growing feeling around Tottenham that a second loan deal would benefit the club and would make financial sense given the costs of replacing him.
Some Spurs fans have taken to social media to react to the possibility of Bale returning for another season:
before we re sign bale on a loan please just sign A manager

Spurs Web Opinion
Now that we have given Bale the time he needed to build up his fitness and confidence, it would not be prudent of the club not to re-sign him on loan next season. The Welshman could potentially hit the ground running next season on the back of this summer’s Euros.
