Tottenham Hotspur take on Bayern Munich at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in their second group game of this Champions League campaign this evening.
Mauricio Pochettino has made only one change to the team which started against Southampton with Dele Alli coming into the team in place of Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen hasn’t had the best of starts to the season, with some fans claiming that his displays indicate that he doesn’t really want to be at the club.
Alli, on the other hand, suffered an injury in pre-season which meant that he missed the start of the campaign but he featured against Olympiacos in the first match of Group B.
However, it is the exclusion of Lucas Moura that has angered some Spurs fans on social media with many feeling that the Brazilian deserved to start.
Moura, who got on the scoresheet against Olympiacos, has only started three games so far this season. Here’s how some fans reacted to the 27-year-old being overlooked by Pochettino yet again.
Can’t fault the team or the bench. Trust that Dele is ready to perform on this stage with Eriksen and Lucas there if needed. Come on, Tottenham. #COYS pic.twitter.com/Ri6fc5cG9X

I’m no gaffer but this 4-3-3 just doesn’t suit this Spurs team. 4-2-3-1 was when they were at their best.

Why is Moura even on the team??? He performs almost every chance he gets especially in the CL. And Lamela is in form so dropping him for Dele is a mistake.

#thfc Surprised to see Alli starting over Eriksen, Lucas and Lamela tbh but he’s undoubtedly a big game player. Chance for him to turn a corner tonight. He’s the only change from Saints. https://t.co/NSvej5twou

Our most direct player, Lucas Moura, is on the bench again. His pace frightens defenders & he is always a goal threat but Poch seems to have an issue with him. Absolutely criminal to play Dele ahead of him.

Spurs Web Opinion
At this point, it is clear that Pochettino doesn’t trust Moura to start games as the Argentine keeps leaving the attacker out consistently despite the fact that Moura seems to score everytime he plays. Hopefully the Brazilian will come on from the bench and have an influence in the latter stages of the game.
