“No one cares” – Some fans react to club tweet about want-away former Ajax man

Christian Eriksen’s future at Tottenham Hotspur remains uncertain with the 27-year-old out of contract at the end of the season.

Eriksen will be able to open talks with European clubs in January over a pre-contract deal which would see him walk away from North London next summer for nothing and pocket a potentially lucrative signing on fee with a new employer.

He wasted little time after the heartbreak of the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool by telling the media in his homeland that he wanted to leave the club in order to see a new challenge whilst inviting contact from Real Madrid (Ekstra Bladet).

A move to the Spanish giants failed to materialise and he found himself still at Tottenham following the closure of the European transfer window.

After being a mainstay in Mauricio Pochettino’s side in past years, this season he has been in and out of the starting eleven.

His indifferent performances have caused frustration and some fans took to Twitter to vent their discontent after he scored two late goals in Denmark’s 6-0 win against Gibraltar.

Here’s what some of the North London faithful had to say after a Tweet by the club mentioned Eriksen’s involvement in the fixture.
