Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has revealed that, as things stand, a move to Tottenham Hotspur is not an option for Julian Nagelsmann.
Over the last week, multiple outlets and journalists have talked up the chances of Spurs swooping for Nagelsmann.
The latest such update came from Matt Law, who said on Matt Hayes – Tottenham Blog on Friday that the German is ‘something of a Spurs fan’.
He also revealed that Daniel Levy has a very good relationship with Nagelsmann’s agent, which could work to Tottenham’s advantage.
However, Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel on Saturday that despite all the stories linking the German with a move to Spurs, he is not aware of ‘anything advanced for now’.
The journalist added that the recently departed Bayern boss is ‘really appreciated’ by some members of the Chelsea board.
This has now been backed up by Plettenberg who confirmed that the Blues are considering Naglesmann and that a move to Tottenham is not an option for the 35-year-old at the moment.
This becomes even more topical since Chelsea confirmed the sacking of Graham Potter this evening.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 As reported: Nagelsmann on the shortlist! Tottenham no option for him at this stage.

I think the situation regarding Nagelsmann’s future is only likely to clear up closer to the summer as the German will want to assess all his options before making a decision.
I still feel that Real Madrid or Chelsea are the favourites to win the race for him as it would be difficult for the 35-year-old to turn them down if they come calling.
