‘No passion’ – Graham Roberts takes aim at Spurs players after Arsenal loss

Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to share his frustration after watching Tottenham Hotspur lose 2-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates.

Roberts, who played in his fair share of North London derbies during his time at Spurs claimed that there was no passion shown by the players who took to the field yesterday evening.

Tottenham’s hopes started in the worst possible way when Heung-min Son limped off after just 19 minutes when he appeared to suffer a hamstring injury.

Arsenal dominated the first half and would have considered themselves unlucky to have gone behind through Erik Lamela’s brilliant improvised rabona.

Spurs rarely threatened Bernd Leno’s goal and only appeared to come to life after Lamela was sent off for a second booking in the 74th minute.

Roberts suggested that the current crop of players do not understand what the North London derby means to the supporters given the uninspired performance which sees Jose Mourinho’s team fail to make ground up on the top four.
