“No place like home” – Some Spurs fans react after beating Palace at new stadium

Tottenham beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in what was the first Premier League game to be held at the new 62,062 capacity stadium.

By the looks of it, the long wait for the stadium has certainly been worth it as the venue is one of the best in the world.

Spurs fans certainly found their voice tonight as the crowd sang their heart out throughout the game.

Roy Hodgson set up his team to sit back and frustrate the home side and the strategy worked in the first half.

Tottenham were pretty wasteful in the final third and found it hard to break Palace down.

However, Spurs broke the deadlock early in the second half as Son Heung-Min’s deflected strike found the back of the net.

They then doubled the lead with 10 minutes to go when Eriksen was first to the loose ball after some good work by Kane in the box.

Overall, it was the perfect return to N17 for Spurs fans who had the opportunity to be present at the stadium on the historic occasion.

Here’s how some Spurs fans reacted on social media to the result:
