‘No players included’ – Fabrizio Romano provides update on club’s pursuit of Spurs man

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham do not want any of Paris Saint-Germain’s players as part of the deal to take Tanguy Ndombele to Paris.

Ndombele is one of the players that Spurs are reportedly desperate to offload before Monday’s transfer deadline (Evening Standard).

PSG have emerged as the favourites to sign the Tottenham man on loan, with journalist Julien Laurens revealing yesterday that there is expected to be an option to buy included in the loan deal.

Lauren further added that the Ligue 1 giants are optimistic of completing the 25-year-old’s signing and suggested there is some progress expected to be made on Friday in the negotiations between the two clubs.

Romano has taken to social media to also suggest that all parties are ‘confident’ of reaching an agreement soon, with PSG and Spurs now ‘in advanced’ talks.

He added that Tottenham want the Parisians to cover the entirety of Ndombele’s salary during the loan spell.

This transfer does look nailed on to go through but I would be surprised if Spurs let all three of Ndombele, Dele and Lo Celso go without bringing in another number 8. Given that we do not seem to be heavily linked with any attacking midfielder at the moment, I expect at least one of those three players to stay.
