Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Robbie Keane has ruled out a winter loan move to the Premier League.
Keane is now plying his trade in the MLS for LA Galaxy and there had been speculation linking him with a possible switch to QPR which would have seen the Republic of Ireland international play under former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
The striker has previously played on loan for Aston Villa in a similar loan deal but claims he needs a rest.
He told Sky Sports’ Fantasy Football Show: “It’s been a long season, with the Euros and what have you. I’ve a few little niggles that need to be sorted out so I don’t think at this moment in time it would be right for me to go anywhere.
“I had another year left and they offered me a new contract at the end of last season. I’ve just signed a new two-year contract.”
