Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to share their reaction to their side’s first half performance against Vitesse Arnhem.
Nuno Espirito Santo decided to make eleven changes to the starting eleven compared to the team which took to the field against Newcastle United on Sunday.
Vitesse had the best opportunity to take the lead when after twenty minutes, Nikolai Frederiksen won a corner after his shot from distance is deflected behind and the delivery was aimed to the near post, only for Jacob Rasmussen to flick a header just wide.
Spurs’ first shot came in the 37th minute when Bryan Gil lifted his strike over the crossbar. Dane Scarlett has been quiet in attack, however, in fairness to the teenager, he has had little in terms of service.
Here is a selection of thoughts from the Spurs faithful on what they have witnessed in the opening forty-five minutes at the GelreDome.
Dele is turning the ball over too much. Understand he needs to take chances, but he’s not even close.
Winks seems like a really nice guy, but dear god he just doesn’t do anything of any value. Might as well be playing with 10
Gill is a drifter, needs to stay in position.

Bryan has been good almost every time he got the ball, but he barely touches it because the washed midfield refuses to pass to him

Paratici and Hitchen could’ve put in a better shift than Dele and Bergwijn

What a boring half. We are way too slow. Just moving side to side. There is no vision going forward.
