Former Stoke City midfielder, Danny Higginbotham, has raved about the qualities of reported Tottenham Hotspur target, Eberechi Eze.
Eze has developed into an outstanding talent over the last few years, establishing himself as an important part of the QPR side.
The 21-year-old has managed an impressive 12 goals and eight assists in the Championship this season (transfermarkt).
As a result, he has been linked with a summer move to Spurs (The Sun) and it is claimed that QPR are demanding around £20 million for the youngster’s signature.
QPR’s director of football, Les Ferdinand, has previously admitted that the club may have no choice but to let Eze go if someone meets their asking price for him in the summer (Beautiful Game Podcast via The Standard).
Higginbotham has now hailed Eze’s versatility while marvelling at the natural ability and confidence he possesses on the ball.
In his column for the Sun, the former Premier League man wrote: ‘At just 21 years of age, he can play in a No 10 role or on the left — and has done brilliantly this season with the second-most goals and assists for QPR.

‘You would not want him one on one. He has that knack of gliding past players with ease. He has so many assists because he attracts so much attention which creates space for his team-mates.
‘Eze’s very talented and believes in his own ability. No wonder Tottenham are linked with him.’

It is crucial that Daniel Levy learns from his previous mistakes and gets this deal completed early instead of letting it drag on like the Grealish transfer. If we miss out on Eze this summer, it is very easy to see his value skyrocketing in the next year or two. If that happens, Spurs will be left regretting not signing another young English star in the making.
