“No words to describe it” – Tottenham legend raves about new stadium

Tottenham’s under-18s took on Southampton yesterday in what was the first-ever game played at the club’s new 62,062-capacity stadium.

The game was one of two test events which will be held this month, before the grand opening against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Wednesday, April 3rd.

Yesterday’s game was the first opportunity many fans had of experiencing the venue first hand.

The general view among Spurs fans who attended the game yesterday is that the stadium has more than lived up to the expectations, and is one of the best in world football.

While only a little over 28,000 people were in attendance for yesterday’s match, the atmosphere generated inside the ground was still pretty loud with fans breaking into traditional songs to rekindle memories of White Hart Lane.

Among those in attendance at the match was Spurs legend Micky Hazard. The former midfielder has taken to social media to rave about the venue, and claim that it feels like home.
