‘Not done yet’ – Fabrizio Romano makes exciting prediction for Spurs January signings

Fabrizio Romano has said that Tottenham are not quite prepared to call it a day after signing Arnaut Danjuma and Pedro Porro, and suggested that they could make another ‘surprise’ signing before the transfer deadline.

Reports over the last 24 hours have indicated that Spurs have agreed to pay €45m (£39.5m) to Sporting for Porro over several instalments (Bruno Andrade).

Romano has now also expressed confidence that the deal will go through, revealing on his YouTube channel that only ‘the final details’ are left to be sorted out between the two clubs.

However, interestingly, the journalist added that Spurs are ‘not done yet’ in the January market and could pull off another surprise before the deadline.

While he clarified that it does not mean that Tottenham are sure to sign another player, he explained that the Lilywhites are on the lookout for opportunities over the next few days.

It is quite unlikely that we would sign any other non-homegrown player as we would have to offload two (potentially Gil and Lucas) just to accommodate Porro and Danjuma in the Champions League squad. So, the only market opportunities Spurs will likely be looking at are homegrown players like Anthony Gordon.
