‘Not in danger’ – Fabrizio Romano says Spurs have changed Manor Solomon plan

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the proposed transfer of Manor Solomon to Tottenham Hotspur, and revealed the player’s medical has been rearranged until next week.

Tottenham have had a productive transfer window already this summer, with the loan moves of Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro being made permanent, and new arrivals in the form of Guglielmo Vicario and James Maddison coming through the door.

Somewhat surprisingly, the next player heading to North London appears to be another attacker, with the free transfer of Manor Solomon first reported by Fabrizio Romano last weekend.

There are still some wrinkles to be ironed out when it comes to completing the deal for the Shakhtar Donetsk player, as the transfer depends on FIFA’s ruling that players owned by Ukrainian clubs can leave their contract this summer due to the ongoing conflict in the country.

Regardless, it seemed the switch would be concluded imminently, with Solomon’s agent confirming a medical was planned for this week (Sport5).

Solomon’s Tottenham medical has been delayed

However, Fabrizio Romano has delivered a new update that may disappoint Spurs fans, as Solomon’s medical has been pushed back to next week now.

We need not worry, though, as it sounds like everything is still going to run smoothly, just later than first thought.

Romano said: “Tottenham have re-scheduled medical tests for Manor Solomon — originally planned this week.

“Current plan is now to undergo tests early next week. No issues, no problem and deal not in danger. Solomon will join Spurs, he’ll just be unveiled one week later than planned.”

Hopefully, this is nothing to be concerned about and the deal will go ahead without a hitch.

I’m sure there is a good reason for the delay, and Romano certainly sounds confident that everything is in order for an announcement next week.
