‘Not in our plans’ – Fabio Paratici speaks directly on Vlahovic to Spurs rumours

Tottenham Hotspur’s managing director of football, Fabio Paratici, has claimed that Dusan Vlahovic is not in the club’s current plans, as relayed by Fabrizio Romano.

The Serbian striker’s current contract with Fiorentina comes to an end in the summer of 2023 and Fabrizio Romano previously reported that talks over any potential new deal had broken down.

Even Fiorentina’s owner, Rocco Commisso, recently revealed he cannot be sure as to whether Vlahovic will sign a new deal with his club. Fabrizio Romano also added in his most recent update that the Serbian has decided to leave Fiorentina.

Recent reports revealed that Spurs are ‘crazy’ for the striker and are even ahead of the pack in the race to sign him. Some have even claimed that Spurs are in talks with his representatives over personal terms ahead of any potential transfer.

This all comes after Tottenham were heavily linked with a move for Vlahovic during the summer transfer window.

Now, if Fabio Paratici is to be believed, it appears that Tottenham have no immediate plans to make a move for the Fiorentina centre-forward.

He said: “Dusan Vlahovic is appreciated by many clubs, it’s normal – he’s not in our plans, for now.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

I wouldn’t read too much into this. Paratici would say the same thing if Spurs wanted him or not. Unfortunately, it feels as though a bigger team with Champions League football could beat Tottenham to Vlahovic in January or next summer.
