‘Not just on the pitch’ – Kane makes claim on Conte’s ‘intensity’ in Spurs meetings

Harry Kane has revealed that Antonio Conte shows just as much intensity in Tottenham team meetings as he does in the dugout. 

Spurs appointed the pragmatic Italian last month after the sacking of Nuno Espirito Santo, and he has quickly started to put his stamp on things around the club. 

Conte has led Spurs to three consecutive wins in the Premier League, which has seen the side close the gap on the European places with two games in hand. 

However, much of that has been achieved despite club talisman Kane’s underwhelming form in front of goal this term. 

The England captain will be hoping Conte will be able to help him get back to the standards he set himself in recent seasons, and he has already noticed why the former Inter Milan boss has had so much success at his previous clubs. 

Kane has picked up on just how intense Conte is even when he is away from the dugout, with his levels also set high during the team’s meetings. 

Speaking to Footy with UTI, Kane said: “He’s a winner. He wins everywhere he goes. You can see that in him.

“Not just on the pitch. But in the meetings also and just intensity when he is talking to you.

“He brings a huge belief to everyone at the club and, hopefully, we can have a great season.”

Conte is the man to get Spurs set straight and we are quickly starting to see his methods being implemented at a decent level. He does appear to be a very intense person from the outside looking in and that is a good reason why he has won so much in the past.
