‘Not nice to see’ – Ex-Arsenal striker urges Spurs player to leave the club in January

Former Arsenal striker, Kevin Campbell has admitted that it is unpleasant to see how Dele Alli is being treated by Jose Mourinho at Spurs and urged the midfielder to join Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain.

Alli has struggled for game time this season and was publicly criticised by Jose Mourinho for his part in Stoke City’s equaliser two weeks ago after Tottenham overcame the Potters.

Reports indicated that the midfielder could be handed a start in Tottenham’s clash against Leeds but he was once again left as an unused substitute for the clash on Saturday.

It has been claimed that Mauricio Pochettino wants to make the former MK Dons man one of his first signings as PSG boss, with a loan move to the French giants this month mooted as a possibility for the midfielder (The Sun).

Campbell believes that Alli should not think twice about quitting Spurs for PSG.

The pundit told Football Insider: “He can go there (PSG) and get a new lease of life because the life has been squeezed out of him at Spurs by Mourinho.

“It’s not nice to see. Dele Alli knows exactly how Poch plays, his training methods etc.

“He’s an England international and he’s someone Pochettino knows he can rely on.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Despite some recent reports suggesting that Tottenham want to hang on to Alli, I expect the midfielder to join PSG on loan this month. He certainly does not look likely to win his place back in the Tottenham side anytime soon and a loan move will probably suit all parties.
