‘Nothing dead’ – Football journalist offers Spurs fans final ‘slim possibility’ over Dybala

It seems as if the rumours are not going to die until 5 pm when it comes to Dybala. Either the Argentine will be a Spurs player come the end of the window or it will be confirmed that a deal was not able to be reached.

Conflicting reports have littered the web today, with the BBC claiming that Juventus pulled out of the deal hours ago.

Gianluca Di Marzio also suggested that Juventus would not sell to Spurs today as they do not have a replacement for Dybala lined up.

Ed Aarons from the Guardian is one of the latest to comment, stating that the wages and image rights expenses proved to be too much for Spurs, so they pulled out.

However, the Independent’s Miguel Delaney has since claimed that he keeps being told that nothing is dead in the deal until 5 pm.

He says there is still a slim chance to Tottenham could take the player on loan with an obligation to buy.
