Some Spurs fans on social media have voiced their displeasure at the idea of Nuno Espirito Santo becoming the next Tottenham head coach.
Nuno is now reportedly the front runner for the role, although the North London club are also said to be considering other candidates such as Brighton boss Graham Potter.
The Portuguese coach brought Wovles up from the Championship in 2018 and led them to two back-to-back seventh-place finished but parted ways with the club on the back of a disappointing bottom half finish last term.
The 47-year-old is just the latest in a long line of candidates Spurs have reportedly spoken to about the vacancy over the last few months.
Some sources suggested that the backlash from fans was the main reason Tottenham called off their talks with Gennaro Gattuso last week.
Some Spurs fans have now got the ‘#NoToNuno’ trending, riling against the idea of the former Wolves manager’s appointment.

Nothing against Nuno as a person, I’m sure he’s lovely.
But I do not want him to manage our football club.

More than #NoToNuno, with his dire football I am 100% #NoToMendes. To have two Pedro Mendes clients in a row managing us, with his fingers increasingly involved in all our transfer dealings would be terrible. Please can we not just spend a bit extra and lure Potter or ETH in?🙏

Spurs Web Opinion
The ‘#NoToGattuso’ had meaning because of the Italian’s problematic past comments and the question of how his appointment would reflect on the values of the club. However, this hashtag is now starting to look silly.
I personally do not want to see Nuno getting the job and would prefer Potter. However, Paratici is certainly better equipped than me or any of the Spurs fans on social media to make the decision.
The club should not really take fans’ misgivings seriously if they believe Nuno is the best option available at this moment. However, we have seen plenty of twists and turns already and so we should not be getting ahead of ourselves.
