Several outlets over the last couple of weeks have credited Spurs with an interest in Hudson-Odoi, who has had an impressive first season at the City Ground since joining Forest from Chelsea last summer.

This includes an update by The Guardian, who claimed recently that while Tottenham passed up on the opportunity to sign the winger from Chelsea last summer, they have changed their mind regarding the player after watching his displays this season.

Last week, The Sun reported that it was the Lilywhites who were at the front of the queue to land the wide-man ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, over the last few days, Alasdair Gold (Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast) and Spurs insider Paul O’Keefe have both revealed that their sources at the club have downplayed the rumours, with Postecoglou’s men allegedly not too keen on securing the former Blues star.

Nottingham Forest do not want to sell Hudson-Odoi

Sheth has confirmed that Hudson-Odoi is of interest to three different Premier League sides but suggested that Nuno Espirito Santo’s men do not want to lose the 23-year-old.

When asked if the England international is generating any interest, the journalist told GiveMeSport: “Most definitely. I’m told that three Premier League clubs have shown an interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi. It hasn’t got to the point where it’s been club to club.

“Nottingham Forest will not want to allow him to go. He’s done so well last season when he helped Nottingham Forest stay up, and they got him for such a low fee.

“I think it was an initial £5m (that Forest paid). And you know if they were to sell him in the summer, I’m sure they will be able to double, maybe triple and maybe even quadruple that price, maybe even more than that in the current market, given how he has performed.”

Given Forest’s financial situation, one would expect them to listen to offers for Hudson Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White, who will both be of interest to Ange Postecoglou’s men, given their attributes and their homegrown status.
