Nuno asked if Kane will be involved against Man City in ‘tense’ press conference

Journalist Jonathan Veal has claimed that Nuno Espirito Santo’s first press conference of the Premier League season was a ‘tense’ affair as the Spurs head coach revealed when he would make his Kane decision.

The former Wolves boss claimed he would decide whether Kane could be involved against Man City after the club’s training session on Saturday.

Tottenham kick-off against Man City in North London at 16:30 on Sunday, however, Kane only returned to team training on Friday.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier this week that Pep Guardiola’s side were not giving up in their pursuit of Kane this summer and are preparing a new €150m bid for the striker.

However, the transfer expert also added that Spurs had not yet received the new proposal and still want to keep the England captain at the club.

David Ornstein reported today on Sky Sports that Man City have no intention of paying anywhere close to the £150m-£160m mark for Kane this summer.

Spurs Web Opinion:

It sounds to me like Nuno doesn’t even know whether Kane is staying or going, which could be the source of his frustration because it’s hard to plan a season without knowing whether the star striker will still be around.
