Nuno Espirito Santo provides update on Tanguy Ndombele situation

Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed that Tanguy Ndombele will not be in the Tottenham squad to face Watford at home this weekend in the Premier League (Jonathan Veal).

Beyond that, the Spurs boss claimed there were no updates or changes in the situation surrounding the Frenchman this summer.

It was reported by Alasdair Gold earlier this month that Tanguy Ndombele was considering his future in North London.

The former Lyon man was reportedly left heartbroken when Ryan Mason dropped him for Harry Winks in the Carabao Cup Final against Man City last season.

Multiple sources (Football Insider and Charlie Eccleshare) have reported that Ndombele has already told Nuno he wants a transfer away before the deadline.

When asked about the midfielder last week, Nuno claimed that Ndombele could only reach his best potential by finding it within himself.

This week, it appears the situation is no different and Spurs fans will not be seeing their record signing turn out against the Hornets.

Spurs Web Opinion:

I don’t see a way back here for Ndombele. Either he leaves before the deadline or he is reduced to a bit-part role under Nuno. I fear we will never see the best from such a talented player, not in the Premier League anyway.
