Nuno Espirito Santo speaks on Harry Kane’s lack of Premier League goals

Nuno Espirito Santo talked about Harry Kane’s lack of Premier League goals in his pre-match press conference this afternoon ahead of Tottenham’s weekend fixture.

Spurs come up against Newcastle United, who are now under new ownership after they were purchased by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.

The Magpies will be hoping for a bounce from their new leadership with Nuno will be wanting to see his side build on their win over Aston Villa last time out.

Tottenham followed up on three successive Premier League defeats with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Villa just before the international break.

However, Harry Kane remains without a league goal to his name this season. Having said that, the striker has six goals in four non-league games for Spurs, as well as another three strikes in four for England.

Nuno revealed today that he is calm on the situation as the goals will come for a player of Kane’s quality.

He said (Football London): “It’s normal. Harry sure is used to it, but we are relaxed. We know that Harry is much more than goals, what he does for the team. A fantastic football player, one of the best and naturally goals will come.”

Spurs Web Opinion:

I completely agree. People love and have always loved making headlines out of Harry Kane going a few games without a goal. Such is the standard he has set for himself. I fully expect him to get up and running soon.
