Nuno Espirito Santo’s decision could be a major boost to Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur could be handed a boost ahead of their all-important clash against Wolves on Sunday after it was revealed that their opponents will not be resting any players for their Europa League tie against Espanyol on Thursday.

Spurs go into the game on Sunday in desperate need of three points after being well beaten by Chelsea last week.

After last weekend’s results, Spurs found themselves falling further behind in the race for Champions League qualification. With Wolves sitting just a point below Spurs, Sunday’s game could be crucial for both sides.

Wolves have all but sealed qualification to the next round of the Europa League having beaten Espanyol 4-0 in the first leg last week.

Nuno Espirito Santo was expected to rest a few players for the return leg as it comes just three days before the clash against the Lilywhites.

However, the Daily Mail have now confirmed that the Wolves boss has rejected the chance to give his stars a breather and will travel with a full-strength squad to Barcelona.

While it is suggested that they still might rotate a few players, it comes as a surprise that they haven’t decided to leave any players back at Molineux.

Given that we will have had a whole week to prepare for this game while Wolves will have to travel back on Friday, we can’t have any excuses for failing to beat them on Sunday. While Wolves are certainly a strong side who will pose a threat on the counter, we should be winning this game against a direct rival if we have any shot of finishing 4th.
