Jamie O’Hara has hinted he may extend his loan at Portsmouth until the end of the season.

O’Hara has impressed at Fratton Park so far this season, despite the South-Coast club being rooted to the foot of the table.

The midfielder has initially stated his intention to head back to Spurs at the end of his loan spell, but has now seemingly changed his mind and would like to help the club in their fight against relegation.

“I’m enjoying my football and I’m playing every week. That’s all I can ask for. Maybe I was disappointed with the performance at Blackburn, but I’m enjoying it.

“All I want to do as a footballer in the Premier League is play football. I say to myself, ‘how would it look to the Pompey fans if I left in January?’

“They travel away and come to every game and we’re fighting for every point.

“Then come January, I pack up and go back to Tottenham and I’m back in the comfort zone. How does it look to them? Maybe it looks like I’ve walked away from a fight.

“I’m not that type of person. I want to be there for the team and the club. I want to help us get out of trouble.”
