Tottenham fans have been impressed by youngster Luca Williams‑Barnett’s display in the club’s first pre‑season game under Roberto De Zerbi, following his lively cameo off the bench.
Tottenham Hotspur fans finally got a glimpse of their side for the first time since last season’s final-day win against Everton.
This time it was in a pre-season friendly against League One opponents MK Dons in a behind-closed-doors match at Hotspur Way.
Spurs managed a 1-0 win over their opponents to get their pre-season preparations off to a winning start ahead of the 2026/27 season.

However, it was the performance of fan favourite Luca Williams-Barnett that left many Spurs supporters excited.
Williams-Barnett was Spurs Web’s player of the match as he showed immense quality after coming on in the second half, dictating play, completing dribbles and creating chances.
His standout performance has now left many Tottenham fans excited, with many taking to social media platform X to share their reaction.
One Tottenham fan said: “he is a pure baller”, while another added: “Superb natural talent. They have been drilling into him what he needs to do off the ball. One of the very few we cannot let go.”
A third fan commented: “Okay I believe the hype now.” Another believed the 17-year-old outperformed some of Spurs’ biggest signings this summer: “£85m & £100m signings, who in my view are still worth that & played well, were completely outshone by LWB..
