On-loan Tottenham starlet wins club’s Player of the Month award

Troy Parrott has been named as MK Dons’ Player of the Month for February after the on-loan Tottenham man’s impressive displays for the League One club.

Parrott has been in excellent form for the Dons since the turn of the year, displaying his vision and passing range while featuring as a number ten.

The striker’s extended goal drought was starting to become a bit of a concern but the 20-year-old brought that to an end last week as he netted a brace to help Liam Manning’s side beat Cheltenham Town 3-1.

The Republic of Ireland international expressed his delight at finding the back of the net and admitted that he has been overwhelmed by the support from his teammates and the fans despite his barren spell in front of goal (MK Citizen).

In what comes as a further boost to the Tottenham youngster’s confidence, Parrott has now been named as the club’s Player of the Month for February after the League One side enjoyed an unbeaten month.

The striker was presented with the award prior to the Dons’ League One clash with Wigan Athletic at Stadium MK on Saturday.
