‘One of our best halves’ – Some Spurs fans react to first half vs Leicester

Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting on social media with their thoughts on the first-half performance they have witnessed against Leicester City this evening.

The first real chance of the game came in the eighth minute when Harry Kane picked up the ball in the Foxes penalty area and created some space to fire off a shot across Kasper Schmeichel which nearly found the back of the net, only for Thomas to backheel the ball away.

Kane went a step closer less than ten minutes later when he rose high from six yards out to crash a header from a Harry Winks corner against the crossbar.

Tottenham continued to dominate proceedings with Lucas Moura seeing his effort beaten away by Schmeichel and moments later, Davinson Sanchez should really have scored but flicked his header the wrong side of the upright.

The visitors were punished for their inability to score when Leicester took the lead against the run of play on twenty-three minutes when a counter-attack saw the ball land at the feet of Daka, who lifted the ball above Hugo Lloris.

Spurs were left scratching their heads wondering how they hadn’t equalised after more last-ditch defending saw Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s shot cleared off the line.

Kane, however, did get his goal seven minutes before the break.

Here is a selection of reaction from some fellow Spurs fans on the opening forty-five minutes of action under the lights at the King Power Stadium with their side currently level at 1-1.
