According to WhoScored, Micky van de Ven has the highest pass accuracy of any player across the Premier League this season.
While Van de Ven arrived at Tottenham on the back of an extremely impressive season in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, most fans would have expected the 22-year-old to perhaps take time to adjust to the intensity and the pace of the Premier League.
Instead, the Dutchman has surprised everyone by hitting the ground running, with the youngster playing like someone who has over 100 Premier League appearances under his belt.
Not only is the Netherlands international rapid, which is very rare for a player of his build, but he is also extremely composed on the tackle, which makes him a great foil for Cristian Romero.

Micky Van de Ven leads the way for passing accuracy
Perhaps Van de Ven’s best quality is his technical ability in possession, with some Spurs fans drawing parallels between him and Tottenham legend Jan Vertonghen.
His quality in possession is underlined by his pass accuracy stats, with Whoscored revealing that a whopping 95.8 per cent of the centre-back’s passes are successful, which is the highest across the Premier League.
Spurs Web Opinion
There is no doubt that Van de Ven is potentially a world-class talent and could evolve into one of the best in the world over the next year or two.
However, I am not a fan of the pass completion stat as it says nothing about the difficulty of the passes one is attempting.
For example, I believe Romero is a better passer than Van de Ven but his pass accuracy stats will be considerably lower since he attempts more line-breaking passes to the forward line.
