Son Heung-min is the only Tottenham player among the 20 named in EA Sports’ Premier League Team of the Season.
While Son has been one of the best attackers in the Premier League over a number of years, there were a few murmurs last season about whether he was past his best.
However, the South Korean has well and truly dispelled those suggestions this campaign, having stepped up in a major way since the departure of Harry Kane last summer and taken on more responsibility.
The 31-year-old has scored 15 times and provided another nine assists in 29 Premier League matches so far in 2023-24 (Transfermarkt) while he has also showcased his leadership qualities since being handed the captain’s armband last summer, being quite demanding of his teammates.
The Tottenham man will be hoping to end the season strongly and fire his side back into the Champions League.

The Spurs skipper has deservedly been named in the EA Sports’ Team of the Season, being the only Tottenham representative in the list.

While Son is certainly deserving of his place on the list, Micky van de Ven and arguably even Pedro Porro are unlucky to miss out, given some of the names on that list. Udogie and Vicario also have a great case to be included.
