‘Open to all clubs’ – Rumoured Spurs target confirms he is learning English

Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick, who is rumoured to be on Tottenham’s radar, has confirmed that he is learning English and opened up on his desire to play in the Champions League.

Endrick only made his senior debut for Palmeiras earlier this season and the teenager has enjoyed an excellent start to his career, with four goals in seven appearances in the Brazilian top flight (Transfermarkt).

The forward’s is thought of by many as the best emerging talent from Brazil, with his displays in youth football over the last couple of years reported to have caught the attention of several top clubs around Europe.

Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola revealed on his YouTube channel Canal do Nicola (23/09/22 as relayed by Sport Witness) back in September that the 16-year-old is on the radars of three Premier League sides in Tottenham, Man United and Newcastle United ahead of the January transfer window.

Real Madrid and Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in Edrick (Mundo Deportivo) while Paris Saint-Germain have been backed to launch an offer for the youngster in January (Marca).

According to Gazzetta, the Palmeiras starlet has now confirmed that he is learning English and said about his future: “I’m not gonna answer about my future club.

“Of course, I’d like to play Champions League in 2, 3 or 4 years. I’m open to all the clubs, waiting for the best proposal for me and my family.”

Spurs Web Opinion

Real Madrid have tended to consistently snap up the best emerging talent from South America over recent years and so, I would expect Los Blancos to win the race for Endrick.

The fact that the Palmeiras youngster is learning English suggests that he is open to moving to the Premier League but I do not think Spurs will get involved in a bidding war for the 16-year-old.
