Tottenham Hotspur welcome Manchester City to North London today for their opening Premier League match of the new 2021/22 season.
Man City are, of course, the reigning Premier League champions so Nuno Espirito Santo’s first match in charge of Spurs could very much be a baptism of fire.
Much of the build-up to the game has been dominated by headlines surrounding Harry Kane’s future, with Pep Guardiola’s side reportedly preparing a new €150m bid for the Tottenham star.
However, Kane will very much be a Tottenham player for the encounter today and there is even a chance he will be involved in the matchday squad despite being in team training for just two days.
Spurs fans will be hoping to see their talisman back on the pitch and scoring as soon as possible, with just two weeks left to go until the transfer window slams shut.
