Opinion: One positive paragraph about each Spurs squad member

We all need a bit of positivity in our lives so let’s take a look at one positive point about every current Spurs squad member. It’s the only squad we have this season so let’s win something together!

Hugo Lloris – Still one of the best keepers in the Prem and a true Spurs legend. Wins us a heap of extra points through the season and bleeds Tottenham.

Joe Hart – Signed for his experience lifting major silverware, Hart has certainly made his presence felt this season. Even if the fans were in, we would still be able to hear him barking orders.

Serge Aurier – Improved beyond belief this season and was a huge part of the early campaign form. A huge character in the dressing room and a great player to have in the squad.

Matt Doherty – It’s been far from the dream move for Doherty but he hasn’t hidden away. He keeps showing up and giving it his all, which is all we can ask. I’m sure it will click for him soon.

Japhet Tanganga – One of the jewels of the Spurs academy in recent years. Tanganga is one of the most naturally gifted young defenders I have seen in some time and has a HUGE future at Tottenham!

Joe Rodon – The shining light of the Spurs defence this season. Strong, powerful, dominant in the air, full-blooded in the tackle, Rodon already looks a fab signing just one year after joining!

Toby Alderweireld – What a player this man is. Still reads the game better than anyone at the club and is a great leader at the back. Hopefully, he gets the game time he deserves this season.

Davinson Sanchez – On his day, Sanchez can pocket any forward out there. The pace and power is a great outlet for Spurs, with consistency being the next step. I’m sure that his future is bright!

Eric Dier – Would die for Tottenham but let’s hope we won’t have to spread his ashes at the stadium any time soon. Anyone who plays with the runs is the player for me. His early season form was immense.

Ben Davies – Tottenham’s Mr Dependable. Whether it’s LB or LCB, Davies is always there to guarantee top effort, experience and professionalism. These players are underrated in a Premier League squad.
Sergio Reguilon – If Madrid are reading this, he has been average. For any Spurs fans, what a player we have here. Can only get better with time and that is a scary prospect! The pace, the passion, the assists! More please…
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – The midfield general. Only been here a year but I already don’t know where we would be without him. Keeps things ticking over, breaks up play, and has an eye for attacking returns too! Best signing of the summer!
Harry Winks – Bleeds Tottenham and pocketed Kroos and Modric at 22 years of age. Winks oozes natural ability on the ball and it is only a matter of time before we see that regularly back out on the pitch. An incredible person and player to have in the squad.
Moussa Sissoko – A huge part of that early-season table-topping form with Hojbjerg. Sissoko has played so many different positions with Spurs and gives his all in each and every one. He wasn’t treated to the warmest reception by many Spurs fans but has proved us wrong.
Giovani Lo Celso – Our player of the year last season, Lo Celso has been hampered by injuries this time out. However, his natural ability on the ball and fighting spirit will come to the forefront before the season ends. Unreal quality and a huge future at Spurs.
Tanguy Ndombele – WOW. Tanguy has put his first season blues behind him and treated us to a one-man highlight reel this season. The most natural ability I have seen since Mousa Dembele, and that’s saying something. This man could get scary good!
Erik Lamela – Doesn’t have a half-hearted bone in his body. When he pulls on the Spurs shirt he plays as if he were a fan. When it comes to ability, that rabona goal tells you all you need to know. Can’t help but love this guy.
Dele Alli – One of the best-attacking midfielders in the Premier League and anyone who knows Dele knows that he will be back to his best before long. He’s simply too good not to. I only hope that Spurs can be the ones to reap the rewards in the future.
Lucas Moura – This man has come into his own this season in the number 10 role. As delightful to watch on the ball as he is to admire away from the pitch. He will always be remembered fondly for that night in Amsterdam but Moura is so much more than that one game!
Steven Bergwijn – Some players hit the ground running in the PL, others take time. Steven Bergwijn may need a little while to get going but there is talent galore in those feet. Not only that, but the man has battled all season despite limited game time. Bright days ahead!
Gareth Bale – What a joy it has been to see Bale back at the club this season. I’m sure there is more to come, but those games against Burnley and Palace felt like a real homecoming. I only hope that the fans can return in time to cheer him on again! A world-class talent.
Heung-min Son – What more is there to say about this guy? He gets better and better each year, even when that doesn’t seem possible. The finishing, the work rate, the desire, the smile – Sonny is just a pleasure to see representing Tottenham. What a guy.
Carlos Vinicius – It is not an easy job to be Harry Kane’s understudy. However, Vinicius has gone about his work with efficiency and pride. In terms of his goals to game ratio, he has gone above and beyond this season. I’m sure that he has a very bright future ahead of him.
Harry Kane – He’s one of our own. The goals. The assists. The cross-field passes. The headed clearances. The passion. The best all-around centre-forward in world football and there is no debating that.
