Opinion: Player ratings from Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Everton

Tottenham Hotspur once again failed to protect a lead and once again failed to record a victory in the Premier League last night against Everton.

Let’s take a look at the player ratings from the night:

Hugo Lloris – 8 – Played extremely well and was the only thing preventing Spurs from getting battered on Merseyside.

Serge Aurier – 4 – Really struggled to get forward and looked dodgy at the back too.

Toby Alderweireld – 5 – A back three does not suit him and he struggled when asked to step out of defence, but nice to see him back out there.

Joe Rodon – 6 – Continues to be the shining light in the Spurs defence this season, even if it wasn’t his best ever game.

Eric Dier – 3 – His short-range passing last night was woeful, putting Spurs into more trouble than he got them out of.

Sergio Reguilon – 3 – Gave away a penalty and did very little in the match to make up for it. He has been poor since returning from injury.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 4 – Got booked early on and was pretty ineffective from there on out. Perhaps Everton are his bogey team?

Moussa Sissoko – 3 – The game really seemed to pass the Frenchman by.

Tanguy Ndombele – 5 – An extra point for the assist to Kane’s first goal but Tanguy was all over the place on the ball last night.

Heung-min Son – 6 – Spurs really struggled to get the winger into the game at all, but he did at least put some effort in.

Harry Kane – 8 – Spurs also found it hard to get Kane into the game and his two goals came more from defensive mistakes. Very clinical though.

Substitutes:

Lucas Moura – 5 – Came on at left-wing back and at least looked positive.

Erik Lamela – 3 – Too wasteful on the ball.

Dele Alli – N/A
