Opinion: Player ratings from Tottenham’s disappointing 1-1 draw against Fulham

It was another case of points dropped for Tottenham Hotspur this evening as they failed to kill off the game against Fulham at 1-0.

Let’s take a look at how the individual players got on in the 1-1 draw:

Hugo Lloris – 7.5 – A few smart stops for the Frenchman to make as the defence was open at times. Great save from Loftus-Cheek late in the second half. Can’t be blamed for the goal.

Serge Aurier – 7 – A constant threat down that right-hand side and seems to have vastly improved his final delivery. Just needs to cut out the mistakes (Leicester).

Davinson Sanchez – 7 – In terms of one-on-one defending, Sanchez is very talented. At times just needs to read the overall game a bit better. Great block on that dangerous Lookman shot. Could have done more in the Fulham equaliser.

Eric Dier – 6.5 – Battled on after an early injury and did well up against a physical Fulham side. Lost out in the air for the Fulham equaliser though. Caught out of position a lot late on.

Sergio Reguilon – 8 – What a ball in that was! Reguilon as an attacking outlet is as good as any Premier League full-back and his defending is slowly getting better.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 7 – Broke up play as usual in the middle of the park and joined the attack from time to time. Needs to be more confident in the final third. Didn’t do enough on the ball in the second 45.

Harry Winks – 7 – Looked really accomplished in there today, both offensively and defensively. Gave it away once or twice but definitely two steps forwards. Could have done more in the second half.

Tanguy Ndombele – 6.5 – Unfortunately, it seems that the tactic was to bring down Tanguy rather than let him run for Fulham. He was kicked out the game a bit but some nice footwork on show.

Moussa Sissoko – 6 – Always gives you 100% effort but lacks the attacking instinct to play in a front three. I assume that he was there more to cover for the overlapping Aurier. What a run that was at the start of the second half though – if only he could recreate it.

Heung-min Son – 6 – Had two or three great chances in front of goal but couldn’t find the back of the net tonight.

Harry Kane – 7.5 – Took his goal so well and dictated play in the first half. In the second half, he forced the issue a little and became sloppy at times.

Substitutes:

Erik Lamela – 5 – Made little difference after coming on.

Carlos Vinicius – N/A
