Opinion: Player ratings from Tottenham’s routine 4-0 win over Ludogorets

Tottenham Hotspur brushed aside their Bulgarian opponents in the Europa League tonight, strengthening their position at the top of Group J.

Let’s take a look at how the individual players got on:

Joe Hart – 5 – Could have had a nap and still recorded a clean sheet.

Matt Doherty – 7 – Nice to see him back and worked some good space but he needs to work on his final delivery into the box.

Davinson Sanchez – 6 – Was pretty much a bystander as Ludogorets barely registered an attack all game.

Japhet Tanganga – 6.5 – Won a few aerial duels in the first half, but had very little in terms of competition tonight. Nice to see him back out there though.

Ben Davies – 7.5 – Got up and down well, put him some nice crosses and even came close to scoring himself when he rattled the woodwork.

Harry Winks – 8.5 – Knocked it about pretty well this evening and looked a bit more positive than usual. Whether he meant it or not, what a goal! Worth an extra mark or two!

Tanguy Ndombele – 8.5 – Looked incredible on the ball, always finding pockets of space and bursting past defenders. Very rarely goes backwards or sideways with the ball.

Dele Alli – 8 – We’ll be generous and say that Dele came up with two assists tonight, although the first did deflect. Very unselfish and hardworking performance from him.

Gareth Bale – 7.5 – Looks brighter by the game in a Spurs shirt and, for the first time, we actually saw him burst past players on the wing tonight. Positive signs!

Lucas Moura – 7.5 – His usual bright spark of a performance, even if the end product is a bit hit and miss from the Brazilian. Took his eventual goal well.

Carlos Vinicius – 9 – Two goals for the big man tonight, just what he needed! They weren’t his toughest goals ever, but it will do him the world of good to get off the mark.

Substitutes:

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 5 – Jose put the midfielder on just to sure things up a bit.

Jack Clarke – 6 – Came on and looked very sharp in the second half.

Harvey White – N/A

Dane Scarlett – N/A

Alfie Whiteman – N/A
