Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed a very successful summer transfer window, introducing the likes of Gareth Bale, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Carlos Vinicius, and Joe Hart.
Something that has long since been missing in North London was a solid two options for every position, providing depth for the inevitable oncoming injury crisis.
However, I believe that Spurs now finally boast enough depth to push for a trophy:
Goalkeeper – Hugo Lloris and Joe Hart
Right-back – Matt Doherty and Serge Aurier
Centre-back – Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez
Centre-back – Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga
Left-back – Sergio Reguilon and Ben Davies
Holding midfield – Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko
Holding midfield – Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks
Attacking midfield – Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli
Right-wing – Gareth Bale and Lucas Moura
Left-wing – Heung-min Son and Steven Bergwijn
Striker – Harry Kane and Carlos Vinicius
Honourable mentions – Paulo Gazzaniga, Erik Lamela, Gedson Fernandes, Jack Clarke, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Dennis Cirkin, Harvey White, Alfie Devine, Ryan Sessegnon (loan), Juan Foyth (loan), Oliver Skipp (loan), Troy Parrott (loan), and more!
Have something to tell us about this article?
I can assure you that Erik Lamela is ahead of Dele Alli in Mourinho’s depth chart. It’s also highly debatable if our CB depth is adequate to win a major trophy. Otherwise I agree with the rest of your analysis of our squad depth.
