Opinion: Score prediction for Chelsea vs Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur take on Chelsea tomorrow afternoon in what looks to be a very tasty affair at Stamford Bridge which will Jose Mourinho returning to his old club for the first time since his appointment.

When the Special One took over as Spurs head coach, he found himself 12 points adrift of Chelsea in fourth, the sought after last of those precious Champions League spots.

However, a few months on and Tottenham have closed the gap to just one point, meaning that a win away over the Blues would see them climb above their rivals.

Having said that, Tottenham’s squad is down to the bare bones in attack following the loss of both Harry Kane and Heung-min Son coupled with the fact that Mourinho’s men played a tough 90 minutes against RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Chelsea were last in action against Man United on Monday night, when they were defeated 2-0 by the Red Devils.

The London derby kicks off at 12:30, leaving Spurs with little time to recover and prepare compared to their opposition.

I believe that the best Spurs can realistically hope for here is a draw. I am going for 2-2, with the goals to come from Dele Alli and Lucas Moura.
